Wild forward Owen Nolan has had a spectacular NHL career. Nolan gets injured, the Wild go through a disastrous stretch. Nolan returns (not completely healed), scores a few goals, and the Wild beat some of the top teams in the league. I'd say he's a pretty integral part of this team.
"This night it was all about God. The Irish God of War, to be more specific. Owen Nolan has finally answered our prayers..." -NiNY, Hitting the Post

Wild 2, Wings 3 (SO): The Wild and goalie Josh Harding played very well in this game and possibly should have won in regulation. Leading 2-1 near the end of the 3rd period, the Red Wings scored a goal off an apparent high stick. The goal was reviewed and ruled a goal to the surprise of many. Who knows whether it was actually a goal or not. The Wild ended up losing in a SO, but gained a point and challenged an elite team.
Wild 2, Avs 0: Minnesota played good hockey in the team's first ever shutout of the Avs. For being in the second night of a back-to-back and a day after playing an excellent team in the Red Wings, the Wild played strongly and got the win. It also helped that the Avs took some stupid penalties, particularly Adam Foote and Darcy Tucker. Tucker continued to try and win over the hearts of Wild fans when he took a blatant (and stupid) penalty late in the game and then went after Cal Clutterbuck while on his way to the penalty box, pretty much sealing the Wild's victory.
Coach Jacques Lemaire is currently not too pleased with forward Benoit Pouliot and d-man Erik Reitz.
Congrats to 18,568RW favorite Jonathan Toews and sometimes linemate Patrick Kane (or, as he likes to say, P.Kane) on their spots in the 2009 All-Star Game starting line-up. P.Kane swears he didn't vote for himself.
